This adjustable turned bookstand is modeled after a solitary surviving New England example (this custom design has different finials). It was designed with a ratchet-and-brace feature which allows for a change in the angle of the frame, and a shelf with a series of holes with moveable pegs to accommodate various sizes of books. It is painted in red and black, as was the original. |
