A turned armchair in ebonized maple, after a Plymouth County original. This chair is modeled after one of the surviving chairs attributed to the Tinkham family, which are notable for the particular style and combination of turned elements, especially the finials and the over-sized hand-holds. It is dated to the last quarter of the 17th century. |
